Earlier today (9/5), out of an abundance of caution, our schools entered a shelter-in-place after reports of what sounded like possible gunshots in the surrounding area.  Our law enforcement partners immediately investigated and determined that the noises were coming from an animal defense system, not gunfire.  At no time were our students or staff in danger.  We appreciate the swift response of our staff, students, law enforcement, and the cooperation of our school community in following our safety protocols.
