Pioneer School District touches its 60th birthday during the coming school year. The Home of the Panthers continues helping students reach their education milestones just as it has since 1966.
The first day of classes is Wednesday, September 3. For the Class of 2026, it will be their final opening day. For members of the Class of 2039 at Delevan Elementary and Arcade Elementary, it will be their first.
New this year is a bell-to-bell ban on smartphones, smart watches and other electronic communication devices. Students are asked to please store phones in their locker or leave them home altogether. They can ask to call home from their building office. You can read up on the Distraction-Free School policy
All meals are free during the 2025-2026 school year. All you need to know about Pioneer Food Service can be found here

Although Sept. 3 is the first day for students, some staff started back on the job Tuesday, August 26, and many others spent part of their summer in staff development. While Pioneer is in the middle of a Capital Improvement project (particularly at the elementary buildings) custodians and cleaners have been coordinating with contractors to make facilities safe and clean for students' return. Meanwhile, technology personnel have been busy making sure computers and networking are ready from Day One.
We wish everyone a great 2025-26!
