Transportation at Pioneer Schools: A Message from First Student

Dear Parents or Guardian:

This letter is to inform you of important bussing procedures we are asking all families to follow starting in September 2023. The reason for these procedures is to ensure the safety of all of our students. In addition, it allows for clear communication between the parents, school and bus garage.

If your child needs to ride to an alternate location (along an existing route) during the school week he or she must have a written note.  The note must be sent in to school and a pass will be issued through the school. This will reduce the confusion caused by multiple drop offs.   The driver will also need to see a responsible person before your child is released off the bus (elementary only). Students will NOT be released from the bus unless an adult is present. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS. In the unlikely event that an adult is not present, the student will be returned to the school and someone will have to pick them up there. All arrangements must be in writing to the school. Arrangements should NOT be made between the bus driver and the student and/or parent.

Lastly, we ask your child to be outside 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. The driver will not be able to wait if students are not ready and the driver will not be able to turn the bus around. This will ensure that everyone will arrive to school at the scheduled time.

Thank you for your support with this. Please let me know if you have any questions. We look forward to another successful and safe school year.

Sincerely,

Matthew Brach, Location Manager
