Students in the Pioneer Middle School 5th grade classroom of Mrs. Allison Schwab recently held a writing celebration in which students reflected on adjusting to change.
The activity was based on English Language Arts (ELA) Module 8, which involves writing a thematic essay.
The students studied three stories that described children who had to move away from home due to war. The essay topic that they had to prove was “How do people adapt to new experiences and make a new place home?“
Guests were invited to the celebration and bring along a special object or picture of something they cherish.
