The World Languages Department has worked with Pioneer Food Service to create special lunch menus for French Week (November 8-12).

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of that week, students receiving lunch can choose a special French-themed entree.

French teacher Christine Berges worked with Food Service Director Heidi Miles and her staff in adapting some menu items to fit the theme.

Pioneer Middle School Principal Melissa Prorok praised the team effort. "Christine and Heidi are really thinking outside the box," she told the Board of Education at its Oct. 19 meeting. 

The special French Week menu includes Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwiches on Monday, Nov. 8, Croque Monsieur (Baked Ham & Cheese Sandwich) and Carrots Herbs de Provence on Tuesday, Nov. 9, and Chicken Normandy on Wednesday, Nov. 10.
