Handpainted signs

Students in Ms. Jessica Lussier's class at Pioneer Middle School were busy in December, sanding, painting, stenciling, decorating, selling, and delivering beautifully handcrafted wood signs.

According to Ms. Lussier, many students said their favorite part was selling them to the customers (staff). Their sale profited $409.75 which will be used to teach budgeting skills.

Ms. Lussier said the profits will be divided three ways:

  • Used for a future community outing;
  • Saved for a future project;
  • Donated to Pioneer Corps (a staff service group) for a local family in need.

The students delivered $136.50 to Mr. Schooley and Mr. Flasza of Pioneer Corps,  and were praised for their fund-raising effort. Check out their beautiful work in the photos!
