Melissa Prorok, Proud Principal of Pioneer Middle School, shares the following message for students and parents:

"It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to the 2019-2020 school year.  It is our mission to make sure that our students feel a sense of belonging in a safe, caring and trusted environment.  We encourage parents and guardians to partner with us so that we may work as a team in order to help our students, your child(ren), become the best they can be.

"In order to accomplish this, there are 3 goals that we will be reminding students to work on daily.  They are – Do Tonight’s Homework, Persevere and Be Kind.  Our research has shown that students who complete their homework daily will be successful.  Students who continue in a course of action, who don’t give up and who are determined will be successful.  Finally, if you can be anything in this world – BE KIND.  It goes a long way and makes a difference in others’ lives.

"We are looking forward to another amazing year here at Pioneer Middle School.  Unfortunately, we will start the year down one Assistant Principal.  Mr. Drollinger obtained a position as a Principal in Fredonia.  We wish him well.  We invite you to attend the Parent/Student Orientation Day on Wednesday September 4th.  In addition, a school supply list is included.  At the orientation you will be given a packet of information to be completed.

"September is sneaking up on us quickly.  Make sure your summer reading is completed and that you are prepared for a new, successful and enjoyable school year. Pioneer Middle School is a great place to learn and a great place to be.  We look forward to seeing you on September 4th.  If there is anything I can do, please don’t hesitate to contact me either by e-mail at mprorok@pioneercsd.org or by phone at 716-492-9393.

Enjoy the remainder of the summer and this beautiful weather!"
