scavenger hunt

A recent activity tested Pioneer Middle School students' teamwork skills and provided lessons about a famous classical music piece.

Students in Ms. Lynda Croft and Mrs. Jennifer Kibler's classes have been studying the composer Gustav Holst and his famous piece, Planets, in music class. Sept. 28 was the final music class on Holst, so the class split into teams for a scavenger hunt around the school.

The Adaptive Music Class is taught by Mrs. Donna Catalano and Dr. Kimberly Higgins.

Dr. Higgins said, "All the students did an excellent job and received a planet earth squishy ball as a reward for successfully completing the scavenger hunt.  Next month we will be studying Camille Saint-Saens' piece Carnival of the Animals.
