Pioneer FFA held its 53rd Annual Banquet on May 25 at the Middle School Cafetorium. 150 students, parents, and community members attended to support the students’ achievements and programs successes from the year.

The current officer team of President Karlie Putt, Vice President Hannah Whitehead, Secretary Conner Woloszyn, Treasurer Seth Higgins, Reporter Jake McCormick, and Sentinel Jake Jewert conducted the ceremony and handing out of awards. Awards were given for students' achievements in class including Agricultural Mechanics, Agricultural Science, and Leadership.
There were 15 new Greenhand degrees, with Jared Day receiving the Star Greenhand.
This year Pioneer had 20 students receive their Chapter Degree, with Conner Woloszyn receiving the Star Chapter Degree. Seth Higgins and Conner Woloszyn were recognized for receiving their Empire Degree at the State FFA Convention a few weeks ago.
Every year the Pioneer FFA awards one of its supporters with the Honorary Chapter Degree. This year we awarded Willey Well Drilling for their support to the program plus materials for projects.
The Pioneer Friends for Agriculture organization awarded 10 scholarships for Agriculture program seniors. Scholarship winners included Karlie Putt, Aaron Fisher, Kaylyn Dziedzic, Abigail Heitzman, Grace Heppner, Garrett Keem, Lydia Maul, Payton Romance, Tyler Day and Ben Shephard. They will share scholarships totalling $17,500.
The 2022-2023 officer team consists of President Seth Higgins, Vice President Courtney Keem, Secretary Hannah Whitehead, Treasurer Chloe Phetteplace, Reporter Jake McCormick, and Sentinel Jake Jewert, who were all inducted during the event.
