Superintendent Ben Halsey issued the following statement on mask-wearing as of Tuesday morning (1/25):
Dear Pioneer,
Decisions in masking in New York State are coming fast and with a great deal of inconsistency and confusion. Pioneer strives to make decisions that are clear, consistent, and thorough.
As superintendent, I am reviewing all pertinent information coming from New York State, and will render a decision on masking in the very near future. Until a decision is rendered, Pioneer will stay the current course with wearing masks at school. Stay tuned for further information and thank you for your patience.
