Pioneer High School's PRO (Panthers Reaching Out) Giving Tree program is once again up and running. PRO revamped it last year and it was very well received, so they are keeping with this new format.
Instead of seeking gift and clothing donations, PRO will once again be soliciting monetary donations for area needy families. This serves a few purposes:
- It allows the group to easily help families and children during this uncertain time (they are presented with gift cards)
- Due to construction projects, the high school does not have the storage space for gift items
- It allows for families to take pride in purchasing the items of their own choosing for their child.
"We hope individuals, groups or businesses would once again please consider sponsoring a child or giving a monetary donation of any amount," said PRO advisor Louise Herrick.
