Pioneer High School sent two players to the 2024 Big 30 Senior Basketball Classic, held March 24 at Portville High School.
Seniors Dalton Giboo and Gretchen Rumfola represented the Panthers boys varsity and girls varsity basketball teams respectively. Each was among the leading players on their teams in 2023-24.
Each year the Big 30 Senior Basketball Classic recognizes outstanding seniors from the distribution region of the Olean Times Herald newspaper, which covers much of the southern tier, northern Pennsylvania, and parts of Western New York. Each year the best of Pennsylvania's seniors play against the best of New York's seniors, according to Pioneer girls varsity coach Jay Ronan.
Gretchen is the daughter of Mark and Kara Rumfola, and Dalton is the son of Tony and Ann Giboo and Heidi Giboo,
