Two Pioneer High School students were selected based on January solo auditions to perform with Erie County All-County ensembles.
9th grader London Kinmartin was selected for Junior High Band, which performs March 9 at East Aurora High School. London earned the distinction of first chair flutist, a very high honor.
Lillian Moore, 10th grade French horn player, was selected to perform with Erie County’s Senior All-High Orchestra, which will perform at University of Buffalo on March 23.
According to her teacher, April Woolley, Lillian will be the sitting second chair horn after scoring a 99 on a Level 6 solo. "She was up against all of the high school musicians in Erie County," Mrs. Woolley added.
