The Pioneer High School chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 28 new members at its annual ceremony on Dec. 4.

Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student. NHS strives to give practical meaning to the society’s standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

According to faculty co-advisor Stephanie Hogan, no student is inducted simply because of a high academic average. The National Honor Society recognizes the total student—one who excels in all of these areas.
