Brady Heckathorn will continue his wrestling career at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Heckathorn made the commitment official at a signing ceremony May 5 attended by his family, his girlfriend, and Coach Chris Edwards.

Coach Edwards said, "Over the six years Brady has been a member of the varsity wrestling program, he has shown tremendous growth as a wrestler.  Brady is a rare wrestler in the regard that he is very knowledgeable, and he also stresses the other important areas: weight training, conditioning, and wrestling during the off-season.

"Brady will leave our program as a three-time sectional finalist and the captain of our last two division championship teams.  He finished his career 11th all-time in wins at Pioneer with 133," Coach Edwards added.

Some of Heckathorn's greatest abilities were in play away from the mat.

"The greatest part about Brady is his leadership," Coach Edwards said.  "He has made it a point to help mentors next year's captains, and talks to them about what the tradition and expectations of a Pioneer wrestling captain are."
