Pre-K screening at Arcade and Delevan looked a little different for the 2022-2023 school year. This year the children continued to participate in the traditional screening process while the parents were able to meet the staff.
At Arcade, UPK parents could travel around the school, meeting school staff for 10-minute periods. Parents met with Principal Mellisa Devitt and School Resource Officer Jared Benkelman. Also on hand were the occupational therapists, Jennifer Reese and Leah Rattermann; speech pathologists Jenni Smith and Shannan Weimer; school counselor Andrew Farnham; and reading specialist Jennifer Rice.
Parents engaged in conversations with school staff regarding school procedures, the first days of pre-k, reading at home and so much more.
