Dear Arcade Elementary Families,
I know I'm not the only one who feels like December has already been a whirlwind of activity! We've had so much fun celebrating the season here at school, and I hope the longer break this year gives you a chance to slow down and enjoy the time with family and friends. Our December Project Read calendars are due after break, and the January one accompanies this letter. Thank you for participating in this program celebrating reading together!
Upon return from break, l'd like to ask everyone to plan ahead for transportation changes and really ensure they are sent in writing or called in prior to 2:00pm. We are engaged in learning right up until 3:20, and last-minute changes can be stressful, as getting students home safely to the correct location is something we take very seriously. Please do your part by making a regular plan, communicating this with teachers as early as possible, and avoiding changes unless absolutely necessary. We appreciate your help with this!
Finally, I just want to say thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us. Our school is an amazing place to be, not only because of our caring staff but also because of your kids' smiles, hugs, jokes, and celebrations of growth, both big and small. I truly hope you all get exactly what you need most this holiday season. May your days be merry and bright...and we'll see you next year!
