A pair of public hearings were held prior to the Nov. 15 regular meeting of the Pioneer Board of Education.
The hearings were with regard to the District-Wide Safety Plan and the Code of Conduct, both of which are state-mandated for all public schools.

The plans have been reviewed by the administration, and suggested changes were shared with the board. Pioneer High School Assistant Principal Michael Jansma outlined proposed changes in the Code of Conduct.
Until Dec. 14 community members can submit written comments to the Board at PioneerBoardMembers@pioneerschools.org or to the District Clerk @ cbartoszek@pioneerschools.org. They should put Comments on Code of Conduct or Comments on District-wide School Safety Plan in the subject field of their email.
They can also submit comments by mail to Pioneer Board of Education, PO Box 579, Yorkshire, NY 14173.
