First Student transportation will again provide bussing for Pioneer students in 2022-23.

Bus and district officials have issued the following letter with transportation details for parents. Bus routes have been posted on the website (see below) and will also appear in the Arcade Pennysaver.

"This letter is to inform you of important bussing procedures we are asking all families to follow starting in September 2022. These procedures are being implemented to help ensure the safety of all of our students. In addition, they allow for clear communication between the parents, school, and bus garage (716-492-1981).

"If your child needs to ride to an alternate location along an existing route during the school week, he or she must have a written note. The note must be brought to school and a pass will be issued through the building office. This will reduce the confusion caused by multiple drop-offs.

"The driver will also need to see a responsible person before your child is released from the bus (elementary only). Students will NOT be released from the bus unless an adult is present. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS. In the unlikely event that an adult is not present, the student(s) will be returned to the school and someone will have to pick them up there. All arrangements must be in writing to the school. Arrangements should NOT be made between the bus driver and the student and/or parents and guardians.

"We ask your child to be outside 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. The driver will not be able to wait if students are not ready and the driver will not be able to turn the bus around. This will ensure that everyone will arrive to school at the scheduled time.

"Thank you for your support with these procedures. Please contact us with any questions. We look forward to another successful and safe school year."
