A parade in honor of Pioneer student Alex "Super Alex" Heldwein will be held Sunday, May 1, on Main Street in Arcade, starting at noon.
The parade will assemble at Arcade Elementary and proceed to Alex's home at 471 Main Street. A singalong will take place there following the parade.
Everyone is urged to wear purple, the color associated with Hunter's Syndrome, which Alex has battled since birth.
Alex has been in intensive care since Easter Sunday, and could possibly come home for the last time on Friday, April 29.
