Nine Pioneer High School seniors will compete in the Arcade Winterfest Royalty Pageant on Friday, Feb. 11, at 6:30pm, at Arcade Elementary School. Admission is $3, and masks are required inside school.

Winterfest is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and the pageant kicks off a weekend of fun activities and events inside and out in the snow.

Here are the contestants:

Arianna Martz is sponsored by Turkey Run Golf Course. Arianna is the daughter of Ricky Shaw and Michael Shaw of Sardinia. She is a member of the musical, Marching Band, bowling and NHS. Outside of school she is a member of the Holland Fire Department. She will be playing flute for her talent.

Faith Ruppert is sponsored by Pioneer Propane. Faith is the daughter of Ethel Hackett and James Ruppert Sr. of Yorkshire. She is a member of the Cross Country team, Indoor and Outdoor track, Vice President of NHS, Peer Helpers, Pioneer PRO and Jazz Band. Outside school she is a member of the Sardinia Saddlers 4-H Club and Pioneer Christian Fellowship. She will be reciting a soliloquy from Hamlet for her talent.

Jake Wiseman is sponsored by The Fitness Connection. Jake is the son of Angela Wiseman and Daryl Wiseman of Arcade. He is a member of the Varsity Soccer, Football and Track teams, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Musical/Pit Orchestra and Community Band. Outside of school Jake works at McDonalds. He will be playing saxophone for his talent.

Katelyn Kittelson is sponsored by Nicolo's Family Restaurant. Katelyn is the daughter of Krissy Kittleson of Chaffee. She is a member of the Bowling Team, Wind Ensemble and is an EMT. Outside of school she works at Nicolo's. She will be playing her bassoon for her talent.

Layla Boyer is sponsored by Haley Concrete. She is the daughter of Douglas and Laurie Boyer of Yorkshire. She is a member of the Pioneer Chamber and Select Choirs, Orchestra and Pit Orchestra, Wind ensemble, NYSSMA and ECMEA Orchestra and NHS. Outside school she is the Concert Master for the Southtowns Youth Orchestra. She will be playing violin for her talent.

Makia Eisenhauer is sponsored by Stone Mountain Masonry. She is the daughter of Michelle and Wayne Eisenhauer. She is a member of Show Choir, Musical Stage Crew and G.S.A. Outside of school she is a waitress at Holland Willows. She will be reading an original piece of creative writing for her talent.

Mary George is sponsored by Shad Salzler Construction. She is the daughter of Mike and Linda George of Arcade. Mary is a member of NHS and the Musical. Outside of school she is a Grace Worship Dance Teacher, Barista at Cup of Grace and she also milks cows. She will be performing a tap dance for her talent.

Shaylyn Shaylyn Owens is sponsored by Nicolo's Family Restaurant. She is the daughter of Sandra and Kevin Owens of Delevan. Shaylyn is a member of the Pioneer Swim Team where she is a diver and the musical. Outside of school she is involved at her church. She is putting on a fashion show of her own creations for her talent.

Tristen Owens is sponsored by Marco's Pizza & Subs. She is the daughter of Sandra and Kevin Owens of Delevan. She is a member of the musical and NHS. Outside of school she is a ASL translator at her church, works at Maple Haven Farms in Franklinville and is very involved in other aspects of her church. She will be playing piano and singing a mash-up she composed for her talent.
