As part of World Poverty Month, Pioneer High School's Diversity Committee sponsored a food drive during the final two weeks of January 2022.

The freshman class collected the most among grade levels, officials said. Student participants were each awarded a small prize.

The high school extended the food drive challenge to the district office, and the district office came out victorious.

Moreover, the district office came up with the illustrious Golden Food Wreath to proudly display until the next food drive.

The 450 items collected will be sent to food bank at the Arcade United Methodist Church.
