test kits

Superintendent Ben Halsey shared information via an automated call on Monday, Jan. 3, regarding distribution of home Covid-19 test kits.

"The Pioneer School District has received its allotment of Covid-19 Rapid Testing Kits.  This New York State program is a voluntary program, and school districts are asked to distribute these kits to families who wish to utilize them.

"Tomorrow, Tuesday – January 4th – we will have a drive up distribution at Pioneer Middle School between the hours of 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM.  A parent or legal guardian should be the representative to pull up and state the name of the student or students whom you represent. You will receive a testing kit, and then pull away.  It's that simple.

"We do ask that you are masked as you approach our staff who are working the distribution.  Each testing kit contains two tests and instructions on how to use them.  Families are entitled to one kit for each student enrolled in Pioneer Central School.

"It is important that we all work together to navigate the pandemic situation, so may continue to provide a normal school operation for our students."
