fall athletics

Pioneer has had a busy fall sports season so far, and that's a good thing, according to Athletic Director William Weidner.

The first highlight is actually off the field, and is a credit to the current capital project.

"The new locker rooms are progressing nicely, and when finished, will be among the nicest locker room facilities in WNY," Mr. Weidner said. "We have turned our two general physical education locker rooms into six state-of-the-art team rooms."

In addition, the boys soccer/basketball/baseball locker room is getting a significant upgrade.

The second bit of news is the installation of a second automatic livestream camera, this one on the turf field.

"Our new outdoor Hudl camera will allow us to stream many outdoor events," Mr. Weidner said. "A similar camera installed earlier this year in the high school gym has been wildly popular with the community, coaches, athletes and visiting schools. We anticipate the outdoor camera to be equally popular. We can now remotely livestream every athletic event that takes place in our gym and stadium.
