A trusted, dependable influence at the head of Pioneer Food Service is calling it a career.

Catherine 'Cate' Pritchard retires after 18 years. Her last day is her birthday, April 20.
Assistant Superintendent Nick Silvaroli said, "In addition to serving up tasty and nutritious meals during her career at Pioneer, Cate designed and carried through major renovations to all of our kitchen facilities district-wide, introduced new and innovative meal offerings, and attained community eligibility approval for Delevan Elementary granting all students daily breakfast and lunch at no cost."
In addition, Cate operated a summer program that provided no-cost meals to children during the summer months with sites throughout our Pioneer communities. She could be found often 'down in the trenches', helping to serve and prepare meals throughout her career.
Never was the role of Food Service Director as critical as during the height of the COVID crisis. "Cate led a massive operation that served thousands of meals each week to our Pioneer community through a meal pick-up and delivery model," Mr. Silvaroli said.
