With two confirmed cases of Covid-19, Pioneer School District will have a fully remote day of instruction on Friday, Oct. 9.

Superintendent Benjamin Halsey said in an automated call to residents that the move is being made out of an abundance of caution and in consultation with the Cattaraugus County Health Department. He said it will also allow the school to start the process of contact tracing.

Staff may come to collect resources from 8-10am, but no students are allowed on campus on Friday, Oct. 9.

There will be no BOCES or vocational programs, sports or any other extracurricular activities on Friday, Oct. 9.  A further update will be issued over the weekend. Monday, Oct. 12 is a planned day off.
