The Pioneer Social Work Department is proud to announce there were two recipients for the month of May 2026 for Caught in the Act. They are Cody Benzel and Scott Zymowski.
Cody and Scott are the daytime custodial team at Arcade Elementary School. Their nomination read as follows:
"They can be found regularly playing games with students, talking with them in the cafeteria, and offering guidance and correction when needed (a.k.a helping students clean up messes and make better choices). They also run Pokemon Club for 3rd and 4th graders. Oh, and that's all on top of their regular duties taking care of our school and grounds!"
When they were informed of their award, their response after their 'thank you' was "We love our job, it is the best ever."
Cody and Scott will receive a $10 gift card to Coffee Crate, a certificate, a lanyard pin and a picture taken with representatives from the Social Work Department.
