CITA june

The Pioneer School District Social Work Department is proud to announce there were two recipients for the month of June for Caught in the Act. They are Katie Ellis and Caleb Lehman.

Caught in the Act seeks nominations monthly from employees singling out fellow employees for going above and beyond in their work. The June nominations are the last in the program's inaugural year.

Katie Ellis is an Exceptional Education teacher at Pioneer High School . Her nomination read:

"Katie would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Kind, funny, and compassionate, she creates a safe and welcoming environment where students feel valued and supported. She consistently goes above and beyond for both students and colleagues, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or provide guidance when needed. Her unwavering support of the Unified Club reflects her commitment to inclusion and ensuring that all students feel accepted, celebrated, and connected. Her genuine care for others, positive attitude, and dedication to building a strong school community make her an invaluable asset to our school."

Caleb Lehman is an 1-1 aide in an Exceptional Education classroom in Arcade Elementary and his nomination read:

"Caleb is a dedicated, loyal, hard worker who is here every day and always puts the student's needs above his own. He is an aide to one of the most challenging students in our district. He demonstrated his dedication when he was injured during his workday while performing his professional duties and was upset that he needed to take time to get medical attention and heal. Caleb is flexible and is willing to assist in not only his classroom but will assist in other classrooms if needed."

Katie and Caleb will each receive a $10 gift card to Coffee Crate, a certificate, a lanyard pin and a picture taken with representatives from the Social Work Department.

Congratulations, Katie and Caleb!
