Pioneer School District voters approved a general fund budget for 2026-27 and the creation of a capital improvement reserve fund of up to $25 million, in polling conducted May 19.

The budget totals nearly $71.3 million. with a spending increase of 2.25 percent, and tax levy increase of 3.02 percent. It was passed, 718-301.

The capital improvement reserve fund proposition was approved, 742-247. It allows the district, under state education law, to create the reserve fund of up to $25 million over 15 years,

Three candidates ran for two open five-year terms on the board. The top two vote-getters were Shannon King (783 votes), incumbent Kate Uhteg (750), with Carol McCarville (329) finishing third.
