The Arcade Historical Society has announced the winners of its 2026 Pioneer Student Art Show.
Hundreds of votes were cast as people picked their favorite artworks in the annual show held at the Arcade Historical Society. 160 artworks by 154 artists were on display. The ballot required voters to write down their favorite artwork from each of the four schools. They took the assignment seriously, spending a lot of time exploring the galleries.
Voting ended with the close of the show February 25. People’s Choice winners from each school are as follows:
High School: Leighlah Marble-Drake, Self Portrait, Charcoal, 10th grade. Teacher: Mr. Matthew Daggett
Middle School: Jocelyn Blanchette, Master Copy - Casper, David Friedrich, Acrylic Paint, 8th grade. Teacher: Mr. Joseph Necci
Delevan Elementary: Lyla Flederbach, “Snowmen at Night,” Tempera Paint and Colored Pencil, 2nd grade. Teacher: Mr. Daniel Bala
Arcade Elementary: Adeline Hartwell, “Northern Lights,” Mixed Media, 3rd grade. Teacher: Mrs. Allison Swavy-Minton
