The Pioneer Social Work Department has created a new staff recognition program called Caught in the Act, and has named its first winner.
Cynthia Landis of the Pioneer Food Service Department is the honoree for the month of November. Social Worker Angela Mason said, "Cynthia is the Assistant School Lunch Director and goes above and beyond her assigned duties. Cynthia ensures that students have the food they need, in addition to ensuring that Pioneer families have the food resources necessary to feed their entire family. Cynthia epitomizes what it means to be student-centered and a compassionate leader. Congratulations to Cynthia!"
Caught in the Act is a program that will recognize any Pioneer staff member for going above and beyond expectations to meet student needs and doing it in a manner that did not bring attention to themselves. The Social Work Department will recognize one district staff member every month to receive an award for Caught in the Act. The recipient will receive a $10 gift card to Coffee Crate in Delevan, which is owned by Pioneer graduates, and a lovely pin and certificate. The recipient will be recognized on social media and in the district newsletter.
The decision about whom will receive this recognition will be made by the Social Work Department, whose staff covers every building in the district. Officials said they will ask employees to be their eyes and ears and help nominate deserving staff members for Caught in the Act.
Since there were a number of other nominations for Caught in the Act for November, the Social Work Department would also like recognize the following individuals who were recognized by their colleagues for going above and beyond to meet student needs: Eric Kramer, Jamie Bartz, Christina Pierce, Deb Nickerson, Dawn Hughes, and Jessica Glasner
