September is Suicide Prevention Month, and Pioneer's Family Support Center (716-492-9485) is rallying the community to raise awareness and show its loving support.

On Friday, September 26, Pioneer invites everyone to wear purple and/or teal to help shine a light on suicide prevention and mental health awareness. These colors carry powerful meaning:

  • Teal stands for healing and support.

  • Purple honors those we’ve lost and represents hope.

You’ll also see mental health staff wearing a semicolon (;) pin, a symbol that reminds everyone: your story isn’t over.

Pioneer's Family Support Center also wants all to remember that no one is alone, and every life matters.

For Pioneer's youngest students (Arcade and Delevan), stickers will also be available and distributed by building greeters as they arrive to school on Sept. 26.

The Family Support Center is led by social workers Angela Mason and Sheri Bell-Beyer
