Nicholas Silvaroli, superintendent of Pioneer School District, has shared an update on the Sept. 6 fatal house fire on Creek Road in Yorkshire.
"It is with a heavy heart that I share some very difficult details from Friday’s tragic house fire. Law enforcement has officially identified three of the four victims as Pioneer 7th grade student Faith Cook, Pioneer 10th grade student Tonya Cook, and their mother, Kristina Kipfer. Family member and fellow Pioneer student James Cook was able to escape the residence.
"Our continued thoughts and prayers are with James Cook, as well as the entire Cook family, their friends, and everyone in our school community affected by this unimaginable loss.
"Please know that counselors and support services are available for anyone who needs them, and we encourage you to reach out if you or someone you know could benefit from talking with someone.
"In heartbreaking times like this, we come together to support each other, offering strength, compassion, and whatever comfort we can."
