Over 370 votes were cast as people picked their favorite artworks in the annual Arcade Winterfest Pioneer Student Art Show at the Arcade Historical Society.
One hundred fifty artworks by 147 artists were on display. Voting ended with the close of the show on February 28. People’s Choice winners from each school are as follows:
Arcade Elementary: Wyatt Titus, Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired stained glass panel. Teacher: Mrs. Allison Swavy-Minton.
Delevan Elementary: Blake Rauscher, Picasso inspired self-portrait in watercolor and magic marker. Teacher: Mr. Daniel Balus.
Pioneer Middle School: Lila Schultz, Winnie the Pooh ceramic sculpture. Teacher: Mr. Matthew Daggett.
Pioneer High School: Alexis Simons, self-portrait. Teacher: Mrs. Stacey Lechevet.
Congratulations to these winners, but ALL of the artists in the show are winners to us. Thank you to the teachers, students and families for sharing their works and coming out to see the artwork!
