A father-daughter team make up the 2023 honor roll for the Pioneer Athletics Wall of Fame.
Former Pioneer girls soccer coach Frank Asquith will be enshrined alongside former Panthers three-sport standout Erin Asquith during Homecoming festivities on Sept. 29.
Mr. Asquith retired as a coach and Pioneer Middle School Physical Education teacher after 34 years in 2018. Some of his accomplishments include:
- Winning five ECIC Division Championships (2006, 2014-2017)
- Coaching in three Sectional Championship games (2015-2017)
- Winning the Section VI Class A-2 Championship (the first soccer title in Pioneer history, 2017)
- Coaching teams to four straight undefeated regular seasons (2014-2017)
- Winning two Big 30 Coach of the Year honors (2013, 2017)
- Named Friends of Pioneer Athletes' Coach of the Year (2004-2005)
- Winning All-Western New York Soccer Coach of the Year (2017)
- Pioneer Athletic Director's Key Award (2018)
Mr. Asquith also was a dedicated Arcade Express travel soccer coach.
Following his coaching/teaching career, Mr. Asquith formed the Pioneer Girls Soccer Alumni Association in 2018 and was inducted into the Cattaraugus County Sports Hall of Fame in 2023.
Erin Asquith is a 2008 Pioneer graduate who excelled in soccer, basketball, and track & field. Her accolades as a Panther included:
- Named to the All-Western New York girls soccer team (2007, 2008)
- Named to the All-Western New York girls basketball team (2007, 2008)
- Recipient of the Channel 4 News Scholar-Athlete Award (2007)
- Winner of Pioneer's Ken Kittleson Award (2008)
- Reached 1000-point milestone in basketball (2008)
- Recipient of Pioneer's Steve and Mavis Smith Exceptional Senior Award (2008)

- Playing soccer for Houghton College (2008-2009)
- Playing soccer at SUNY Brockport (2009-2012)
- NAIA Eastern Conference All-American (2008)
- All SUNYAC Soccer Team (2010, 2011)
- Most Outstanding Scholar Athlete for SUNY Brockport (2010, 2011)
- SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic List (2010)
- J.P. Morgan Chase Award for Scholar-Athletes (2011)
- National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar Athlete All-East Regional Team (2011)
- Capital One Division III All Academic Team (2011)
- Kinesiology, Sport Studies & Physical Education (KSSPE) Department Scholar (2011-2012)
Erin is currently a Physical Education teacher and coach (soccer, basketball, softball) for Orchard Park School District.
