welcome back

Sports practices have started and finishing touches are being applied to facilities as Pioneer gears up for 2023-24.

Physical improvements will be most noticeable at Pioneer High School, where the turf stadium has a new surface, and new construction has begun on an adjacent building that will house lavatories.

The school year will mark the first one with Nicholas Silvaroli as superintendent from the start. He was elevated from assistant superintendent last January.

This year's Return to Lean Orientation takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 5. Parents can accompany students to their buildings that day to meet teachers, principals and other staff.  The following day, Wednesday, Sept. 6, is the first day of classes pre-K through 12.

One big change for 2023-24 involves meals through Pioneer Food Service. Through an enhanced program from New York State,  Pioneer will be offering breakfast and lunch at no cost to all students in 2023-24.
