The 2023-24 school year is off and running for the Pioneer Board of Education.
The board held its annual reorganization meeting on July 11. Melissa Nocera-Collins was elected to another term as board president, and Angela Wiseman was elected vice president.
Edward McCarthy, a member since 2007, submitted his resignation from the board. The board thanked him for his 16 years of service.
Brandon Pyc, who was elected to a five-year term in May, was administered the oath of office. Shawn Hannon, who was appointed last fall to serve the final year of an open seat, was elected to a five-year term in May and was also sworn in at the meeting.
