The Village of Delevan is home to Pioneer Elementary School at Delevan. The elementary school building was originally the site of the Delevan-Machias Central School which merged with the Arcade Central School District in the late 1960's to form Pioneer Central Schools, one of the first consolidated school districts in New York State.
