The Village of Arcade is located at the junction of Cattaraugus and Clear creeks. Originally named China the village has had several identities over the years was finally named for an architectural style.
Arcade was also the home of Francis Striker, creator of the stories, books and radio shows "The Lone Ranger" and "The Green Hornet".
