I was raised in East Aurora, NY and graduated from East Aurora High School in 1977. For my undergraduate studies I attended Duke University for two years, and then transferred to St. Lawrence University, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree. I earned my teaching certificate after attending Canisius College, and then earned my Master's Degree in Educational Change and Technology Innovations from Walden University's online degree program, with a residency stay at the University of Indiana. (As you can see, I've participated in quite a few university programs.)
Along the way to my teaching career I've worked as a professional actor and scenic carpenter, a home builder, a feed mill laborer, a dump truck driver, and a radio advertising salesman.
I began my career at Pioneer as a 7th grade Math teacher, but soon moved to my current position as the district's K-12 Technology Integrator, a position I've held for the past 24 years.
