The Pioneer Auxiliary Association (P.A.A.) is the bargaining unit for the paraprofessional employees at Pioneer Central Schools.
The approximate 160 P.A.A. members are employed in a variety of positions and professions including Teaching Assistants, Teacher Aides, School Nurses, Instructional Technology Specialists, Food Service Workers, Custodial and Maintenance Professionals, School Monitors, School Greeters and other positions.
P.A.A. members work both 10 and 12 months a year depending on their job title.
P.A.A. is affiliated with NYSUT and in turn with the AFL-CIO.
P.A.A. is governed by an elected Executive Board which meets monthly as well as needed.
General meetings as well as an annual meeting are conducted throughout the academic year.
