All four buildings of the Pioneer Central School District are connected via fiber cable. We use a Nortel 8600 Switch to control our ATM backbone, with the high school as the central network hub.

We use 30 Virtual Servers using Microsoft and SCCM 2012. Windows 7 and Office 2010 are on all desktops.

Pioneer schools are also is connected with our local Arcade Free Library, the Delevan-Yorkshire Public Library and the Machias Library via fiber optic cable. Through these libraries, community members and students can access the District's computer resources and Internet connection.

Pioneer also has full internet access via gigabit ethernet broadband to Erie 1 BOCES in West Seneca, NY. The full Internet access is available to all students in every library and classroom. Objectionable material is actively filtered out using Lightspeed.
