Hello, Arcade Elementary friends and families!

I'm Kerry Slocum, Principal at Arcade Elementary since May of 2023. I'm a Pioneer graduate (woo-hoo Class of '93!) and I returned to Pioneer to teach English alongside some of my former teachers in 2002. I've been an administrator since 2009, serving as Assistant Principal at the High School and Middle School before landing here. I live in Arcade with my two kids, two dogs, and two cats. When I'm not at work, you can find me camping, reading, traveling, working in my yard, scuba diving, or watching animal videos (the voiceover ones are my favorite). I have really loved getting to know the staff, students, and families of Arcade Elementary and am constantly looking for ways to make our school the best experience for everyone. If you have ideas, please share them by calling, emailing, or finding me outside at arrival or dismissal time.

Thank you for everything you do to support your children in their learning and for supporting our staff here at school. And most of all, thank you for entrusting us with your precious kids. It's a great honor to serve you, and I appreciate you very much.
