Student at home tech

Pioneer School District is committed to providing the learning tools students need to succeed during this time of pandemic. For that reason the district is offering Operation Device Freedom.

Between the dates of April 13 and 21, Pioneer will work to get an instructional device into the hands of every student in grades 3-12. This represents almost 1800 devices to be distributed by pick-up only, on three different dates of distribution.

The first roll-out will be for Pioneer Middle School students in grades 5-8 and this will occur Monday, April 13. That pick-up is set for the middle school bus lane, between 10:30 a.m and 1:00 p.m.

The second roll-out will be for high school students in grades 9-12, and this will occur on Friday, April 17. This pick-up is set for the high school bus lane between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

The third and final session will be for elementary students in grades 3 and 4 in both Arcade & Delevan, and this will occur on Tuesday, April 21. This pick-up will be at the elementary building your child attends. A pick-up lane will be established at Arcade Elementary, while Delevan will use the existing pick-up lane established for food pick-up. The time for elementary grades is 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Devices can be secured for you child’s continued educational programming at home by pick-up only. We will not be delivering devices. Reminders will go out.

When you arrive at your child’s building for pick-up, staff will be available to assist you with our efficient process of distribution.

An important note: If you already have your own technology that works well for learning at home, you do not have to pick up a device.
