It has been a successful Fall 2019 sports season for Pioneer Panthers' athletic teams. Tonight the student-athletes will be rewarded for their efforts.
The Pioneer Athletic Department will host its annual Fall Sports Awards in the high school auditorium at 6:00 p.m. Nineteen different sports will be recognized, including football (modified, JV and varsity), cheerleading (JV and varsity), field hockey (modified, JV and varsity), golf, girls soccer (modified, JV and varsity), boys soccer (modified, varsity), girls swimming, volleyball (modified, JV and varisty), and cross country.
Several Panthers teams made playoff appearances, even notching a few wins. Two members of the Pioneer/Holland Cross Country team are still active; Jerad Hediger and Brody Jones are headed off to the state meet in Plattsburgh this weekend. Bryce Burton will represent Pioneer golf in the spring ECIC tourney.
