As we bring this school year to a close, I want to thank all of you for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community. This summer is an exciting time for Delevan Elementary. We have been approved for a capital project that will affect the entire circle, parking lots, bus lanes and sidewalks. We will also be working on giving the inside a thorough cleaning, waxing floors, painting, repairing items and basically doing work that has been put on the back burner because we have hosted summer school for years. So with that being said, Delevan Elementary will be completely closed this summer. Our office staff and myself will remain here to answer the phone and do our necessary work to prepare for the beginning of the school year but all other staff will be relocated to other buildings and the building will be closed to the public.
We have a plan in place for families that need to register their children. Beginning July 1st, registration packets can be picked up at the High School office and returned with all necessary documents to the High School Office during their regular hours, 7:30am to 3:30pm.
If you have a child entering UPK, you will also need to pick up and return the registration packet to the HS office. When the completed registration and documents are returned, Mrs. Welch will contact you to set up the mandatory UPK screening date and time. UPK screening will be July 29th-Aug. 1st.
Starting August 1st, Latchkey Applications and Parent Pickup forms will be available on the Delevan Elementary School website and at the High School office. They will need to be submitted to the HS office as well.
Delevan will be reopened hopefully the last week in August. We will see you all at Parent/Student/Teacher Orientation Day on September 4th. A schedule for this day will be sent home in August along with your child’s class/teacher assignment. The first day of school for students will be on September 5th.
Thank you for your flexibility and cooperation. Feel free to contact us at any time.
