Mrs. Jennifer Izzo, Ed.M.
Jennifer graduated from D’Youville College, in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Special Education and Teacher of the Visually Impaired, and a minor in psychology. In 2001, she received a Master’s Degree in Education from the University at Buffalo as a Reading Specialist. In 2005, she received a certificate as a Supervisor of Assistive Technology Services from the Professional Development division of the Binghamton University. She has over 15 years experience working with students ages 6 months-adulthood in a variety of public and private settings in the areas of reading, special education, visual impairment, and technology.

Mrs. Kathy Diaz, AAS

Kathy graduated from Genesee Community College in 2004 with an Associates of Applied Arts and Sciences degree in teacher assistant.  She holds certification as NYS Level X teaching assistant.  She has worked directly with students in varying capacities at Pioneer for fifteen years, the last four as a teaching assistant for assistive technology.

Mrs. Annie Walden

Annie has worked at Pioneer as a teacher aide for Pioneer for XX years.  This is her second year working as an aide for assistive technology.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE

Jennifer graduated from the State University College at Buffalo in August of 1998 with a Bachelors Degree in Speech Language Pathology and in June of 2000 Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology. She is a Licensed NYS Speech Language Pathologist and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC- SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She also holds permanent certification as a New York State Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. Jennifer is also a member of the Speech Hearing Association of Western New York (SHAWNY). She has experience conducting evaluations and providing speech-language therapy to students, in a variety of settings, across the district, from Preschool to High School.

Jenni Smith, M.A., CCC/L-SLP, TSLD

Jenni graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo in December 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing Handicapped. She graduated in May 2008 with a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, also from Geneseo.  She is a licensed NYS Speech-Language Pathologist and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.  She also holds New York State Professional Certification: Speech and Language Disabilities (N-12). Jenni has experience conducting evaluations and providing speech-language therapy to students in a variety of settings, including preschool and public school.

Shannan Weimer, MA, CCC/L-SLP, TSHH

Shannan graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNYAB) in May of 1990 with a dual Bachelors Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences and Psychology. In February 1992, she graduated with a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University at Buffalo. She is a licensed NYS Speech-Language Pathologist and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.  She also holds permanent certification as a New York State Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. Shannan has experience conducting evaluations and providing speech-language therapy to students in a variety of settings, including Early Intervention, preschool and public school.
