Our Pioneer Central High School Assistant Principals are Mark Przybysz and Michael Irizarry
 
markshib Mark Przybysz of Buffalo joined Pioneer High as an assistant principal in Fall 2013. He formerly worked at Tapestry Charter School in Buffalo, where he taught secondary mathematics and was the department coordinator and high school mentor teacher. He served as the mathematics representative for Tapestry's Instructional Leadership Council and Parent Advisory Group.  Mr. Przybysz also was a committee leader for the creation of interim assessments/mid-term exams and creating curriculum maps for the Common Core. Outside the classroom he has experience as a varsity baseball and wrestling coach and JV baseball and football coach.

mike Michael Irizarry grew up in Wayland, NY and came to Buffalo in 1998 to attend Canisius College.  He earned a Bachelors degree in Pure Mathematics from Canisius College, a Masters in Educational Computing from Buffalo State College, and a Masters in Educational Administration from Canisius College.  He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Administration from University of Buffalo.  He previously taught 7th grade math at Maryvale Middle School for over 9 years.  Outside of school, Michael earned his first degree black belt in Tae Kwon-Do and is currently training towards earning his second degree black belt.  Mr. Irizarry oversees 9th and 10th grades.
