Mark Przybysz of Buffalo joined Pioneer High as an assistant principal in Fall 2013. He formerly worked at Tapestry Charter School in Buffalo, where he taught secondary mathematics and was the department coordinator and high school mentor teacher. He served as the mathematics representative for Tapestry's Instructional Leadership Council and Parent Advisory Group. Mr. Przybysz also was a committee leader for the creation of interim assessments/mid-term exams and creating curriculum maps for the Common Core. Outside the classroom he has experience as a varsity baseball and wrestling coach and JV baseball and football coach.
Jean M. Pappalardo of Orchard Park joined Pioneer High School as an assistant principal in October 2014. Her career in education has spanned fourteen years, teaching high school English at Nardin Academy in Buffalo and Iroquois High School in Elma. Outside of the classroom Mrs. Pappalardo has served as English department chair, district mentor coordinator, class adviser, and Master Minds coach. As an extension of her teaching, Mrs. Pappalardo has presented at academic conferences on English and the arts. Most recently she has worked as a staff developer with Erie 2 Chautauqua Cattaraugus BOCES, providing curriculum, instruction, and assessment literacy to multiple districts. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Pappalardo worked in the financial services industry in New York City.
