Physics gives us an education in the logic of problem-solving and a heightened ability to use mathematics as a tool for understanding the real world. Quite obviously, this knowledge and these skills are relevant to any and every future endeavor.
The study of Physics teaches you: (1)"how things work" and (2)"how to think"! Of course, the old adage still applies - "you don't get something for nothing". Learning the content and skills of Physics (or any challenging subject) is an active process not a passive one. I expect you to be an active learner. Ask questions whenever you need to! Throughout the class time, make an honest attempt to keep your mind engaged in the business at hand. To be successful, you will need to be an independent learner as well. You will be responsible for preparing yourself through sufficient practice both in class and at home. I will work hard as your coach, but the time and effort required to learn must come from you.
