Arcade Elementary

Dear Families:

February provided us with plenty of warm weather…but I am sure that we will be in for a couple more snowy days….Please note that when there is a two hour delay:

  •         Busses will arrive two hours later than they are normally scheduled
  •       Students may be dropped off following normal procedures at 10:45
  •        The school day will begin at 11:00. The remainder of the day will run normally.
  •       Latchkey will run normal hours opening at 7:00
  •       Cars are still not allowed in the front parking lot

Our Winter Reading Challenge is off to a great start. Make sure that you send in your book totals every Friday. Our goal is 25,000 books.
March has a lot to offer Arcade Elementary students! Remember to join us for our Science Night on March 9th from 5:30-7:00! On March 21st we will have our final Lockdown Drill of the school year. From March 28th-30th students will engage in New York State English Language Arts testing. Time to show what you know, third and fourth graders! They are all ready to go!
We’re hoping that February break gave us all an opportunity to get healthy! Please make attendance a priority for the remainder of the school year. We have a lot of material to cover before summer vacation! Also, please be sure that students are to school on time. The doors open at 8:45...announcements begin at 9:00. All students should be in their classrooms as quickly as possible. Families may not pull into the front parking lot until 9:30 each day. Thank you for keeping our students safe!
